Company Introduction
ABOUT US The Israeli Robotics Association (IROB), is the leading organization in Israel that represents and promotes the mutual interests of academia and industry in the robotics field. It was founded in 2011 by senior members of the Israeli robotics community from industry and academia to promote robotics as a field of national priority, to encourage local and international cooperation, and to foster a viable robotics industry in Israel. It is open to individuals and organizations, in Israel and abroad, and to anyone able and willing to promote the interests of the Israeli robotics community. Professor at Ariel University and founder of the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics and the Paslin Robotics and Autonomous Vehicle Laboratory. Head of the Master program in Mechanical Engineering. His main research interests include model-based motion planning and control of autonomous vehicles, and the development of affordable assistive robotic devices.Professor Yael Edan is a Professor in Industrial Engineering at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (BGU). Her research combines development and application of intelligent automation techniques (sensors, algorithms, control) with industrial engineering techniques (performance measurement, simulation, systems engineering). Her current robotics research focuses on human-robot collaboration with applications to agriculture and social assistive robots. IROB founder.Yossi Wolf is the Chairman and Co-Founder of temi the personal robot, with 15 years of experience in the field of robotics and unmanned vehicles. After serving in the special forces as an officer, Wolf partnered with Elad Levi to build Roboteam defense. In 2016 Yossi left the defense company to found temi, a premium designed, video-oriented, autonomous personal robot platform for businesses and homes.Prof. Avital Bechar is a senior research scientist and the director of the Institute of Agriculture Engineering (IAE) at Volcani Institute. He holds a B.Sc. degree in Aerospace Engineering and a M.Sc. in Agricultural Engineering, both from the Technion, and a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from Ben-Gurion University on agricultural robotics and human–robot integrated systems. He is conducting fundamental and applied research in robotics for agriculture, human-robot collaborative systems, proximal sensing and developing new concepts and approaches for the operation and development of agricultural robots. Avital is the former chairman of the Israeli Society of Agricultural Engineering (ISAE), a co-founder of the Israeli Robotics Association (IROB) and an IEEE senior member.IROB founder. CTO, Unlimited Robotics Dr. Eli Kolberg was the founder and head of RoBIU Robotics Lab in the Faculty of Engineering at Bar-Ilan University, Israel. He was elected for 2 terms of 4 years each (the maximum allowable) to the international RoboCup Federation Executive Committee. He received the robotics project achievement award in 2002 from the Computers and Education Association, and the best lecture award in 2003 robotics conference from Trinity College, USA. The RoBIU team was selected as among the best eight academic robotics teams in the world in RoboCup 2012, Mexico. Currently he is the CTO of Unlimited-Robotics Ltd.Yizhar Or is Associate Professor in Mechanical Engineering at the Technion. BSc 2001 Technion, PhD 2007 Technion, Post Doctorate 2007-2009 at California Inst. of Technology, under scholarships of Bikura and Fulbright Foundation. His research interests are nonlinear dynamics and control of robotic locomotion, and hybrid dynamics of robotic systems with multiple frictional contacts. Teaches advanced courses of “Hybrid dynamics in Mechanical Systems” and “Kinematics, Dynamics and Control of Robots” at Technion.Professor Raziel Riemer is a biomechanics and wearable robotics researcher and is the head of the Biomechanics and Robotics Lab at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. His field of interest lies in the science of human motion and wearable assistive devices. He uses a multi-method approach, to integrate theoretical and empirical insights. His research has implications for wearable robots, clinical diagnostics and rehabilitation, ergonomics.Mr. Moshe Kelman is a mechanical design engineer with experience in internal combustion engines (piston, jet & turbine), Energy, Automation & Robotics, Transportation (cars, trucks & buses). Designing various mechanical systems & components and Engineering Materials. Design, Manufacturing, Integration of systems and Troubleshooting. Project management. He holds an MBA degree.
